Representatives of the International Atomic Energy Agency continue their monitoring mission at the South Ukraine NPP. On October 8, replacing their predecessors, the 48th team of experts started to work at the power facility.

As always, IAEA employees will communicate with personnel, work with documents and performance indicators. Particular attention will be paid to the physical and nuclear protection of power facilities.

The previous team of experts expressed gratitude to the South Ukraine nuclear employees for their technical assistance and flexibility in their activities. It was the observers of the 47th mission who had to become direct witnesses of russia’s aggressive actions. “The fall of an enemy drone 800 meters from the perimeter of our plant was recorded and the information was promptly transmitted to the IAEA central office, owing to which the international community learned about that incident and it gained wide publicity,” commented Viktor Savorona, Deputy Director General for Quality and Management of the branch “SS SUNPP”. The presence of IAEA representatives is extremely important for Ukraine and PAES in particular. The experts of the 48th mission will work for three weeks, after that another rotation will take place.
