Energoatom, one of the largest employers in Ukraine in the energy sector, has strong partnerships with a number of technical universities in our country. National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” is among them. Formation of specialists for the nuclear industry, based on Educational and Scientific Institute of Nuclear and Thermal Energy and Department of Electric Power Engineering and Automatics, takes place here.
On May 3, Institute of Nuclear and Thermal Energy of Igor Sikorsky KPI invites applicants and their parents to the Open Doors Day (in-person).

This is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of nuclear energy and learn about educational programs that open the way to your career at Energoatom. Representatives of Nuclear and Thermal Energy departments will introduce you to training in the following specialties:
F2 – Software Engineering
F3 – Computer Science
G4 – Power Generation (by specialization):
- G 4.01 – Nuclear Energy
- G 4.02 – Thermal Energy
G7 – Automation, Computer-Integrated Technologies and Robotics
The program has many interesting things! An overview of laboratories, modern equipment and systems, including the unique multifunctional VVER-1000 simulator, on which nuclear engineering students learn to operate a nuclear power unit. Presentations and demonstrations of the capabilities of specialized software for solving engineering problems in the energy sector and many other aspects.
Future applicants will be able to take a virtual tour of Ukrainian NPPs in VR glasses and imagine the professional path “from an applicant to an Energoatom specialist”.
