Recently, the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” in cooperation with JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom” hosted an online event “Thematic Open Doors Day”.
The event was dedicated to the power industry. That allowed not only to present educational opportunities, but also to create a realistic idea for applicants about their future professional path, in particular in the Energoatom system.
The event was broadcast on four platforms: YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and Telegram. The remote format contributed to a significant expansion of the audience geography: participants from different regions of Ukraine, as well as from abroad, in particular from Germany, joined the event. There were more than 600 viewers in total.
Thematic Open Doors Day of NTU “KhPI”, in cooperation with JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom” became an example of a new model of interaction between the university, industry employer and a wide online audience, according to employees of Kharkiv Polytechnic.
The meeting started with a video address by Acting CEO of JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom” Petro Kotin, who called on young people to make a conscious choice in favor of technical education and nuclear specialties.
During the event, its participants became informed about:
- specialties in demand in the energy sector;
- state support for nuclear specialties: benefits, scholarships, etc.;
- special treatment for applicants – combatants;
- real demand for specialists in the industry, career prospects, etc.
The meeting was complemented by an interactive prize drawing arranged by NNEGC “Energoatom” – a nice bonus for potential applicants who were on the threshold of choosing their professional path.
According to the educators, the joint event significantly contributed to the popularization of technical education and the strengthening of cooperation between NTU “KhPI” and the industry partner, Energoatom, the operator of all Ukrainian NPPs, with a team of over 35,000 employees.
