For the first time in 2025, the Panel of Chief Engineers of separate subdivisions of JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom” headed by Acting First Vice President - Technical Director, acting CEO of the Company, Oleksandr Ostapovets, was held.

The meeting was attended by Chief Engineers of all domestic nuclear power plants: Rivne, South Ukraine, Khmelnytskyi and Zaporizhzhia, as well as service subdivisions of JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom”, in particular, SS “Scientific and Technical Center”, SS “Atomremontservice”, SS “Emergency Technical Center” and SS “Atomenergomash”.

“We discussed a number of important issues regarding the safe operation of Ukrainian nuclear power units, repair campaigns, equipment upgrade, and implementation of measures to extend lifetime and improve performance of power units, guarantee of logistics and safe working conditions for personnel,” Oleksandr Ostapovets emphasized.

According to him, today and in future, the most important task of JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom” remains the stable and reliable operation of the country’s power system. Therefore, during the meeting, special attention was paid to safe operation of power units in the conditions of russian military aggression and the impact of external factors on the energy system of Ukraine.

“It stands to mention that in the conditions of martial law and threats posed by russian aggression, the personnel of all separate subdivisions of the Company continue to work responsibly and together,” Oleksandr Ostapovets added.

For reference: The Chief Engineers Panel, held quarterly, is an important platform for coordinating the nuclear industry activities. Its goal is to address the main strategic objectives of the industry, develop recommendations on enhancing safety, reliability and efficiency of NPP operation, lifetime extension of power units, as well as improvement of technical support, maintenance and repair systems. During such meetings, experts identify problem areas in all the aforementioned segments and develop appropriate recommendations.
