The 51st rotation of the IAEA permanent monitoring mission has begun work at the Rivne NPP site. The new mission includes specialists from Argentina and France, who will continue to monitor the state of nuclear and radiation safety at the plant.

During the meeting, specialists from the Rivne NPP, the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate, and international experts discussed the main tasks for the near future. During their work at the plant, IAEA experts will conduct daily inspections of equipment, monitor the operational situation, and observe compliance with the seven indispensable pillars for nuclear safety and security. The activities of the permanent monitoring mission are part of international support aimed at ensuring transparency and confirming the safe operation of Ukraine's nuclear facilities in the context of military aggression.

IAEA representatives particularly emphasized the openness of RNPP personnel, which, in their words, is evidence of a high safety culture and readiness for constructive cooperation. The plant's specialists thanked the previous group of experts for their high-quality work.

"In the current circumstances, IAEA support is crucial for Ukrainian nuclear power plants. The presence of international experts strengthens the work of the Rivne NPP in terms of compliance with nuclear safety principles. We appreciate the constructive dialogue and recommendations that help maintain the stable and safe operation of power units. We are grateful to the IAEA representatives for their professional approach and support," said Valerii Kovalchuk, Rivne NPP Deputy Chief Engineer for Technology and Engineering.

The new team of experts will work at the Rivne NPP for three weeks, continuing the important mission of monitoring safety at Ukrainian nuclear facilities.
