The uninterrupted operation of diesel generators is critically important for the safety of Ukrainian nuclear power plants. Therefore, now the branch of “SS “Atomenergomash” has mastered the technology for manufacturing cylinder liners and pistons – critical elements of one of the major components of NPP diesel generators.
Previously, key components for the safety systems of NPP units were manufactured exclusively by the aggressor country.
“Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Energoatom has completely rejected russian components and replaced them with its own production or supplies from partner countries. Today, we have launched the manufacture of critical components for NPP safety systems. This is another step towards the complete energy independence of Ukraine!” – Head of Energoatom Petro Kotin said.
