International partnership is a crucial area of activity for JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom”. Cooperation with European countries strengthens the position of nuclear energy in the region and promotes Ukraine's integration into the European energy community.
Since the beginning of 2025, Energoatom has made several achievements in the field of international cooperation, in particular:
- Modular houses provided by the Swedish Government as humanitarian aid for internally displaced employees of the Zaporizhzhia NPP were put into operation at the Khmelnytskyi NPP.
- A branch of JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom” – ”SS “Atomenergomash” – obtained a certificate from Westinghouse Electric Sweden AB confirming that the branch is a qualified and approved supplier of fuel assembly components for VVER reactors using Westinghouse technology.
- Special IAEA monitoring missions continue to monitor the safety of all domestic nuclear power plants located in Ukraine-controlled territory and critical energy infrastructure.
At the same time, the head of Energoatom held a series of meetings aimed at developing Ukrainian nuclear power generation with Westinghouse Electric Company Managing Director Aziz Dag, President of Long-Term Operations Luca Oriani, and Holtec International Vice President of Ukraine operations Riaz Awan.
"Energoatom's joint initiatives with foreign partners, the implementation of humanitarian and technical projects, and constant attention to nuclear safety issues demonstrate the Company's strategic focus on the sustainable development of nuclear power generation. Successful cooperation with international organizations and partner countries underscores confidence in the Ukrainian nuclear sector and opens up new opportunities," said Energoatom Acting CEO Petro Kotin.
