JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom” continues its systematic interaction with key international organizations and partners to support the safety, reliability, and sustainable development of Ukraine's nuclear energy sector.
The IAEA's permanent missions keep working at all Ukrainian NPP sites. Two special IAEA monitoring missions were conducted at electrical substations that are critical for ensuring a reliable external power supply to Ukrainian NPPs. During 2025, the company's specialists participated in about 30 various IAEA events (seminars, meetings, training courses, etc.).
Under the auspices of the WANO-PC, a working group on VVER was created with the participation of specialists from JSC “NNEGC ”Energoatom” and a number of European operating organizations. All NPP affiliates conducted self-assessments of their production activities using the WANO-PC peer review methodology and confirmed the high level of operational activity at their sites.
Ukraine has received international technical assistance from key partners – the US, France, Norway, Sweden, the EU, and the G7 countries – aimed at improving the level of nuclear and radiation safety, physical protection, emergency preparedness, and the stability of Ukrainian NPPs.
Energoatom continues its effective cooperation with US Westinghouse, within which key aspects of preparing for the implementation of the AP1000 project in Ukraine are being developed. Furthermore, Energoatom has signed several important agreements that strengthen the energy security of our country. In particular, with the French company Orano, for the provision of nuclear fuel enrichment services until 2040, and with Westinghouse Electric Sweden, for the implementation of a project to create a technological complex for the fabrication of nuclear fuel in Ukraine. Westinghouse Electric Sweden AB recognized Energoatom's affiliate “SS Atomenergomash” as a qualified and approved supplier of fuel assembly components for VVER reactors.
A memorandum of understanding was signed with the French company Arabelle Solutions to deepen cooperation in the field of turboelectric equipment, and a project was launched to modernize the high-pressure cylinder of the turbine of Khmelnytskyi NPP power unit No. 2, with co-financing from the French government.
Last year, Energoatom representatives took part in key international industry events – World Nuclear Symposium 2025, World Nuclear Exhibition 2025, and ReBuild Ukraine.
