The modular town built near Khmelnytskyi NPP now has new residents in all 48 rooms of four houses provided by the Swedish Government. The town is home to 50 adults and three children.
Comfortable living conditions have been created, and shelters have been built. The residents of the modular town are nuclear workers from Zaporizhzhia NPP and their families who had to leave their hometown and the plant due to the russian occupation. Currently, they work at the Khmelnytskyi NPP site.
In addition, work is underway to assemble two more temporary housing buildings.
CEO of Energoatom, Petro Kotin, emphasizes that it is important for the Company not only to retain ZNPP specialists who refused to work for the enemy and left their homes, but also to provide them with decent living conditions. After all, their knowledge and professional experience are crucial for the completion of power units 3 and 4, as well as the construction of power units 5 and 6 using Westinghouse technology at Khmelnytskyi NPP.
