A team of foreign experts from Romania and Lithuania will work at the power plant over the next few weeks.
The work of the IAEA permanent mission on nuclear safety and security at Energoatom's nuclear power plants is aimed at monitoring compliance with the seven indispensable pillars of nuclear safety and security that may be threatened by the actions of the russian aggressor against Ukraine.
“Cooperation with the IAEA has been and remains open and transparent. The work of the previous group of experts included walkthroughs, interviews with personnel, and inspections of workplaces and equipment. We provided the necessary information and, at the same time, benefited from the dialog, advice, and recommendations provided,” said Valerii Kovalchuk, Deputy Chief Engineer for Technology and Engineering.
