The main task of the IAEA permanent mission at Ukrainian nuclear power plants is to monitor the status of the seven fundamental principles of nuclear safety and security.
Another rotation of IAEA representatives at the Rivne NPP site took place on March 8. During the kick-off meeting, the new experts became acquainted with the team of the RNPP specialists coordinating their work at the power plant.
The previous 37th group, which included experts from Pakistan and Nigeria, had conducted equipment walkdowns and visual inspections, as well as interviews with the staff. The specialists thanked the representatives of the RNPP departments for productive cooperation, and noted the professionalism of the Rivne nuclear employees.
The new, 38th group of experts from Finland and Pakistan, which would work for three weeks at the RNPP site, expressed hope for similar open dialogue with the plant personnel and a positive exchange of experience.
