The 36th mission of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has started its work at KhNPP. Every day, IAEA experts monitor compliance with international safety standards and confirm that the operation of power units meets all the necessary requirements.

In addition to monitoring, international experts provide valuable technical assistance and humanitarian support. As a result, Khmelnytskyi NPP has already received radiation monitoring equipment, modern communication facilities, filtration systems, and medical equipment for the hospital.

“The IAEA representatives note the dedication of Ukrainian nuclear power professionals to their work. Despite all the challenges, KhNPP experts continue to operate the units safely, following all the rules and regulations,” said Vitalii Lytus, Deputy Chief Engineer for Nuclear and Radiation Safety at KhNPP.

The IAEA experts will work at the KhNPP site for three weeks. Upon completing their visit, preliminary conclusions will be prepared and presented to the power plant management and the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine (SNRIU).
