On January 29, the Emergency Technical Center held a comprehensive drill of the emergency team. The personnel actions in the event of an accident during transportation of radiation-hazardous cargo were practiced.
The emergency team conducted radiation surveillance and provided first aid. During the drill, special engineering and radiation hazardous activities were performed using robotic complexes. They also simulated blasting work and decontaminated technical means and equipment.
“Such drills allow emergency personnel to practice the algorithm of actions in case of abnormal or emergency situations, help to increase the level of readiness and response efficiency, minimizing risks to the population and the environment,” Head of Energoatom Petro Kotin said
