On Children's Day, Energoatom invited Lyceum students from the capital to a lecture

Sixth graders from Kyiv Lyceum No. 153 visited JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom”. They were curious, focused, and undaunted by challenging science.

Energoatom has delivered educational lectures for children of all ages for many years. This session was a chance not only to inform students about nuclear energy but also to congratulate them on Children's Day, consistent with international traditions and spotlighting their right to quality education.

The conversation covered a wide range of topics: from the importance of energy in our lives to electricity production and the role of nuclear energy in the development of the state. They talked about where electricity comes from, how a nuclear power plant operates, and what impact different types of power plants have on the environment. Despite their young age, the students listened attentively – they study STEM subjects seriously, so complex concepts do not scare them.

The children saw how dosimeters work, tried on augmented reality glasses, looked at models of equipment, and took part in a quiz about the power industry.

For Energoatom, such visits are an opportunity to support children's interest in science and the energy sector and, perhaps, to inspire them to become nuclear power professionals in the future. After all, the strength of a country begins with an understanding of how its economy works and a willingness to take an interest in and discover complex things – even when you are only twelve years old.
