Energoatom head made a working visit to the Khmelnytskyi NPP. Pavlo Kovtonyuk inspected the condition of protective structures, the construction progress of the modular town for displaced employees of the Zaporizhzhia NPP, and discussed plans for 2026 with the staff.
The head of NNEGC emphasized that under constant enemy shelling, the reliability of protective structures was critically important for the steady operation of the power grid. He also inspected the construction status of the modular town for displaced employees of the Zaporizhzhia NPP, and got acquainted with the living conditions and domestic life in new buildings. The project will be continued in 2026 – this modular town will be expanded to 350 places.
During the operational meeting with the plant management and staff, the performance indicators and current challenges were discussed, as well as the operational results for 2025 were summarized, while defining priorities for 2026.
“During the autumn and winter period, the reliability of the NPP operation is especially important. The plants operate at full capacity owing to the efforts of the personnel who have ensured implementation of high-quality repair works and uninterrupted operation of the power units,” Pavlo Kovtonyuk stressed.
At the end of the visit, the head of Energoatom awarded the employees of the Khmelnytskyi NPP with the acknowledgement letters and certificates for their professionalism, resilience and dedicated service in conditions of constant threats.
