History of creation

Emergency and Technical Center of SE “NNEGC “Energoatom” was established in accordance with order of the Ministry of Fuel and Energy of Ukraine dated 25/10/2002 No. 619 “On the reorganization of State Emergency and Technical Center” and order of SE “NNEGC “Energoatom” dated 13/11/02 No. 765 “On establishment of SE ATC of SE “NNEGC “Energoatom”, on September 2, 2003.

Purpose and areas of activity

Ensuring continued readiness of Ukraine for rapid and effective response in the event of an accident at the enterprises of nuclear power industry in accordance with Ukraine’s international obligations and the requirements of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) regarding the creation of a national system for recovery from nuclear disasters and accidents.

Performing certain types of activities on decommissioning and preservation of nuclear installations and facilities intended for the use of nuclear technologies and radioactive waste management.
