Dear colleagues, partners, friends!
Today, we celebrate the 29th anniversary of the founding of the National Nuclear Energy Generating Company “Energoatom”.
These are almost three decades of reliable operation of nuclear generation, safe operation of nuclear power units and steady supply of light and heat for Ukraine and its citizens. Throughout this period, Energoatom has been the basis of the state energy independence and a support for millions of Ukrainians, and remains as well.
We are not only the power heart of our country, but also its energy shield now. In the conditions of daily threats, shelling, and the seizure of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, we have not just kept the energy system operating – we have proven that nuclear industry is an unreplaceable source of electricity.
Over the years, we have built a powerful system: resilient, professional, and safe. We have become the largest electricity producer in the country, have gone through difficult times and continue to overcome new challenges, getting stronger every day. We have overcome the russian monopoly on the nuclear fuel market; import substitution of equipment and spare parts has become our strategic achievement.
We currently cooperate with leading world companies, develop our native technologies and confidently step towards the full energy independence of Ukraine.
This is the merit of each of you: every employee of Energoatom, everyone who keeps this energy front together with the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine and JSC “NPC “Ukrenergo”.
I appreciate your dedication, responsibility and resilience, for being the only nuclear family that does not stop in the face of difficulties, but turns challenges into achievements.
I would like to express gratitude to our partners, educators, communities – everyone who grows and undergoes development with us. I extend appreciation to the families of our employees – for their patience, faith and support.
We are thankful to our courageous military, who, at the cost of their own lives, give us the opportunity to work for the good of the state.
29 years is not a summing-up. This is a milestone for a new start. We will continue to develop, implement the latest technologies, and build new power units – a new energy future for Ukraine.
