The staff of NNEGC “Energoatom” expresses its support to the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine and all the employees of energy sector in the extremely difficult situation we are facing due to the aggression of the russian enemy.
We are deeply concerned about the recent political manipulations and attacks on the energy sector, in particular on nuclear power industry, which took place in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on January 10. Such actions not only undermine confidence in energy workers, but also endanger the energy security of our country in a war situation, when unity and support from all political forces and the public are more important than ever.
Attacks on the energy sector and irresponsible statements by individual deputies create a split in society and undermine trust in those persons who work continuously on the energy front. This endangers the implementation of strategic energy projects, in particular, those related to nuclear power industry, and may seriously affect the support from our international partners, which is already extremely important for Ukraine.
In conditions of war, any political speculation and splitting the energy sector are not only unacceptable, but also dangerous for national security. The continuous operation of the energy system is critically important for the effective fight against the russian aggressor. Moreover, we, as the staff of NNEGC “Energoatom”, together with other energy workers of our country, keep watching this security.
We emphasize the need for unity in these difficult times, when each of us, from employees of energy enterprises to politicians and deputies, must act for one purpose – stability of the energy sector and the security of Ukraine. Making political decisions that destabilize the industry only undermine our joint efforts.
Unfounded political speculations cause damage to the reputation of the energy sector and its employees. All of us, regardless of our positions and functions, must be united in the fight for Ukraine’s energy independence.
We call on all deputies, politicians and the public to support a constructive dialogue and contribute to strengthening the country’s energy security. In these difficult times, our strength lies in unity.
