Students from the State University of Infrastructure and Technologies, boys and girls, who are training to be railway engineers, visited the company.

A lecture-discussion was organized for youth on nuclear energy, including its technology, safety, and environmental effects. The session informed students about the significance of nuclear power in Ukraine's energy system, advancements in technology, and positive ecological impacts.

The students were particularly interested in the presentation on the advanced reactor technologies – AP1000 reactors and small modular reactors (SMRs), which Energoatom, as a progressive company developing in line with global trends, plans to use for the construction of new power units in Ukraine.

The students showed active interest in the safety of nuclear power generation, the supply of fresh nuclear fuel, the handling of spent fuel, and the prospects for developing domestic fuel production in Ukraine.

In the near future, a second group of railway students will visit Energoatom to continue their introduction to nuclear energy and its new technologies. Such meetings help young people better understand the work of the nuclear industry, its tasks, and its importance for the development of the state.
