Regarding the dissemination of disinformation about the activities of JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom” published on “Nashi Groshi” resource

main

Joint-Stock Company NNEGC “Energoatom” officially refutes another wave of false information published by journalist Yurii Nikolov on the Nashi Groshi website and dated May 12, 2025.

This time, the manipulative statements concern strategic projects for the protection of a critical infrastructure facility to replace transformer equipment at one of the power units of the Ukrainian NPP; this project is of critical importance for ensuring the facility stability in conditions of military threat from the aggressor state.

The publication contains unfounded accusations of allegedly “hiding the cost of equipment in the amount of over UAH 500 million.” The author provides this as an attempt to evade transparency. Actually, this refers to a deliberate restriction of access to certain technical and cost details of the contract, which meets security requirements in martial law conditions. All procurements have been made in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine and the regulations of the Prozorro system.

It should be especially emphasized that the disclosure of the NPP name, equipment parameters and other sensitive data is an unacceptable risk that can be used by the enemy to adjust attacks on critical infrastructure. Moreover, such actions as the publication of information of this kind by Yurii Nikolov objectively play into the hands of the aggressor.

The thesis regarding the allegedly inflated cost of construction concrete also requires refutation. In the article, the author manipulatively compares concrete intended for use at a nuclear facility, with basic commodity concrete from open markets. The estimated cost takes into account additional requirements for quality, certification, logistics and technical inspection, not applied in commercial construction. A simple comparison of these prices is unprofessional and incorrect.

Unfortunately, this is not the first time that Yurii Nikolov has endangered the energy facility security during the war, intentionally or unintentionally opening access to information that should be restricted. We draw the attention of Security Service of Ukraine to the rhetoric of the “investigator”, which increasingly show evidence for fake news aimed at undermining trust in strategic enterprises of the energy complex of Ukraine.

NNEGC “Energoatom” calls on media representatives and the public to take a responsible attitude when covering topics related to the security of critical infrastructure facilities. We are open to constructive dialogue, but we cannot and will not accept disinformation that threatens the security of the state.
