A production meeting with the company's management was held at the Rivne NPP. During his visit to the plant, Energoatom CEO Pavlo Kovtonyuk met with the staff and discussed the results of 2025 and plans for the current year.
He noted that last year, NNEGC ensured stable and safe electricity generation and implemented its scheduled programs. Energoatom remains a financially successful enterprise while fulfilling its obligations regarding PSO services (UAH 168.5 billion in 2025). The company has also paid over UAH 41 billion in taxes to the state budget of Ukraine and systematically helps the military (UAH 18.6 billion since February 2022).
Energoatom is also involved in supporting people who suffer from constant attacks by russian troops on energy infrastructure. NNEGC will direct funds to charitable organizations for the purchase of warm kits, including sleeping bags, power banks, and other essential items. Pavlo Kovtonyuk recalled that in Kyiv, specialists from Energoatom's affiliate “SS “Emergency Technical Center” set up the first point of Invincibility for the public on the left bank of the capital, and similar centers will be scaled up.
“Energoatom is one of the most capable companies in Ukraine. We not only fulfill our primary mission – electricity production – with high quality, but also participate in initiatives led by the Government and other state-owned companies to support Ukrainians during these challenging times. We understand our capabilities and direct them to support the public,” said Pavlo Kovtonyuk.
The head of NNEGC announced that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine had approved the full composition of Energoatom's Supervisory Board, which includes four independent experts and three state representatives. The Supervisory Board will begin work in full in the near future.
Taras Tkach, Rivne NPP Director General, reported on the implementation of the plant's electricity production plan, the reduction of repair work deadlines, and the implementation of measures under a Comprehensive (integrated) safety upgrade program.
Lastly, Pavlo Kovtonyuk awarded the Rivne NPP nuclear power professionals with certificates and letters of appreciation for their operational excellence and significant contribution to the development of the industry.
