During his working trip to the Khmelnytskyi NPP, Head of Energoatom Petro Kotin held a meeting with the plant's management and workforce, where they discussed the results of the Company performance over the past year and plans for 2025.
Petro Kotin also chaired a meeting of the headquarters for the completion of Units 3 and 4 at the Khmelnytskyi NPP. The status of restoration works on the power units, compliance with previously approved schedules, and involvement of ZNPP personnel in construction activities were inspected.
The managers inspected the special equipment that would be used during restoration activities and completion of the power units. This includes, in particular, equipment for earthworks, dismantling, working at heights, etc.
According to Petro Kotin, the construction of new power facilities requires the deployment of a whole complex of relevant infrastructure and significant efforts. Therefore, nuclear employees are now actively engaged in repair and restoration works that precede the main construction.
“We are taking the tasks set responsibly; therefore, the necessary preparatory activities are currently underway. Our obligation is to complete the construction of the units in 3-4 years, after the adoption of the Law,” he emphasized.
