In 2024, the information centers of Ukrainian nuclear power plants became a powerful center for popularizing knowledge on nuclear energy. In total, 16,360 people, including schoolchildren, students, teachers, visited those centers and everyone interested in the industry performance. 3,645 people visited the Rivne NPP, 1,511 people – the Khmelnytskyi NPP, and 11,204 – the South Ukraine NPP.
More than three thousand visitors were schoolchildren and students who got acquainted with nuclear power industry and NPP operation.
During the year, 18 groups of students and senior pupils visited the Energoatom Directorate; introductory lectures and discussions were held for them.
Such educational work contributes to the growth of young people interest in nuclear sector and forms a new generation of highly qualified specialists capable of strengthening the energy security of Ukraine.
As a reminder, Energoatom actively participated in the 2024 admission campaign. The work carried out has provided the expected results – the interest of young people in nuclear power industry has increased significantly. In total, more than 1,000 first-year students and almost 800 students for master’s degrees were enrolled in the country leading technical universities for “nuclear” specialties.
