On December 26, Acting CEO of JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom” Pavlo Kovtonyuk made a working visit to the Rivne NPP. The purpose of the trip was to inspect the condition of protective structures and coordinate measures aimed at ensuring steady operation of the power system in conditions of increased safety risks.
Within the framework of the visit, Pavlo Kovtonyuk held an operational meeting with the management of the Rivne NPP. They discussed work planning for 2026, repair campaign organization, financial activities, and social issues.
According to Pavlo Kovtonyuk, the course to increase the nominal capacity of power units is among Energoatom’s priorities. In conditions of energy shortage, each additional megawatt is critical.️
Taras Tkach, Director General of the affiliate – SS “Rivne NPP”, summed up the plant operation results of the current year. Therefore, today the RNPP is meeting the planned electricity production targets. It was possible to reduce the annual repair campaign. The measures of the Complex (Consolidated) Safety Upgrade Programme of Power Units were also implemented; the execution of this program is planned until 2030.
During the meeting, special attention was paid to the issue of supporting the Ukrainian military. This activity has become systemic for JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom” and the Rivne NPP in particular.
“Our task is to provide the military with all the required things so that they can effectively perform their tasks, knowing that reliable support awaits them at home,” emphasized Pavlo Kovtonyuk.
Additional opportunities for the rehabilitation of defenders at the plant social facilities are currently being considered.
