Internship at NPPs is a key component of future nuclear employee training

main

459 students completed internships at Energoatom in the first six months of 2025.

Energoatom is developing a system for succession pipeline, actively cooperating with the country’s leading technical universities that train specialists for the nuclear sector.

A good example of such interaction is the integration of production processes in a strategic industry with training, when students gain knowledge both in classrooms and at nuclear power plants and other enterprises of NNEGC. This combination of theory with intership in the development of engineering education ensures a high level of training of future specialists who, after receiving a diploma, are ready to begin working immediately in the industry.

In the first six months of this year, 459 students from universities and vocational education institutions have already completed their on-the-job and pre-diploma internships at Energoatom affiliates.

NNEGC is also actively implementing:

  • involvement of its specialists in the educational process to transfer practical experience to students;
  • joint implementation of graduation works and scientific researches focused on the implementation of production tasks;
  • dual education, which combines training with practical work;
  • conclusion of tripartite agreements “University - student – NPP”, which guarantee employment for graduates.

The future of nuclear sector is not only based on advanced technologies; the development of the industry depends on the people who work here today and will come tomorrow. Energoatom fully supports motivated and purposeful youth who are ready to stand guard over the energy independence of our state.
