RNPP employees also took part in a meeting to discuss the status of the implementation of existing projects within the framework of international technical assistance of the Norwegian Government and plans for further cooperation.
The event was held during a week at the Institute of Energy Technology, Halden. Participants included representatives of the IAEA, the European Atomic Energy Community (Euratom), the Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA), the FinNuclear Association, the EPRI Institute, JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom”, etc.
At the event, the following RNPP employees represented Ukraine: Ihor Savchuk, Head of the International Cooperation and Technical Assistance Department, Mykola Svidryk, Head of the Information Technology Service, and Eduard Omelchuk, Reactor Unit Operator of Reactor Shop 1.
The nuclear professionals presented the Company's experience on the topic “Cybersecurity as a component of nuclear safety”. The report describes the state of cybersecurity at the Company and RNPP in particular, the current legal and regulatory framework, as well as plans for further development in this area.
