Scheduled maintenance outages with nuclear fuel refueling, has been completed at five NPP units, along with maintenance of two pumped storage hydropower units, one hydropower unit and a mobile gas turbine unit. Repair activities on other power units and hydropower installations are continuing in parallel.

JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom” continues its scheduled maintenance campaign and is steadily preparing all generating capacity for the 2026/2027 autumn and winter period. Maintenance work is being carried out in accordance with the approved schedules agreed with NPC “Ukrenergo” and the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.

“Every day that maintenance is completed ahead of schedule means additional megawatt-hours for Ukraine’s power system and greater confidence in its steady operation. Thanks to the professionalism of our nuclear employees, at this stage we have already reduced the overall duration of the maintenance campaign by 21 days, enabling us to generate more electricity for the country’s needs. This is the result of the dedicated work of Energoatom’s thousands-strong team, which continues to ensure the reliability of nuclear generation amid the war,” said Pavlo Kovtoniuk, Head of JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom.”

Throughout the heating season, Energoatom will ensure the most efficient operation of all available generating capacity, with all nine NPP units in operation. Nuclear generation traditionally remains the backbone of Ukraine’s energy resilience.
