On November 7, Head of Energoatom arrived at the Kmelnytskyi NPP. During the visit Petro Kotin:
- checked the performance of works on protecting critical equipment from enemy shelling;
- checked the progress of restoration works on Units 3 and 4, in particular the construction of the technical platform on the roof of Unit 3;
- held a meeting of the headquarters for the completion of power units, at which the plans for the execution of the necessary works were coordinated;
- visited two modular residential towns (temporary houses provided by the Government of Sweden and purchased by the Company), which are being actively prepared for the employees of the Zaporizhzhia NPP.
Petro Kotin’ s focus is that more than 600 employees are currently working at the Khmelnytskyi NPP who were evacuated from the temporarily occupied satellite town of the ZNPP, Energodar, and the Company must do everything to provide the staff with decent housing.
“With the construction of power units at the Khmelnytskyi NPP, we will increase the number of specialists who will work on projects. We need to provide them with working and living conditions. The first step is temporary modular towns with comfortable temporary living conditions. The next goal is the construction of full-fledged multi-apartment buildings. I am sure that we will succeed in everything,” Head of NNEGC said.
During the visit to the modular town, Petro Kotin and the management of the Khmelnytskyi NPP talked with the employees of the Zaporizhzhia NPP, who would soon move into those buildings. The workers said that they dreamed of returning to their home plant, to their town, as soon as possible, but they were completely satisfied with the conditions that the management of Energoatom and the Khmelnytskyi NPP were trying to create for them. They expressed their gratitude to the Company for the support and the opportunity to live in modular houses, equipped with everything necessary.
