Pavlo Kovtonyuk Visits South Ukraine NPP: Focus on Safety and Winter Preparedness

JSC NNEGC Energoatom Acting CEO Pavlo Kovtonyuk visited South Ukraine NPP, where he reviewed the progress of protective infrastructure construction and held a working meeting with the plant's management.

The meeting focused on the progress of the maintenance campaign and the plant's preparations for the upcoming fall and winter season. Pavlo Kovtonyuk stressed that completing all scheduled preventive maintenance on time remains one of Energoatom's top priorities. Timely completion of the maintenance campaign is essential to ensuring the reliable operation of Ukraine's power system during periods of peak electricity demand.

Particular attention was given to measures to strengthen the site's physical protection. The Acting CEO inspected the ongoing construction of protective structures and emphasized the importance of keeping the project on schedule.

During the visit, Pavlo Kovtonyuk also met with South Ukraine NPP employees, thanking them for their professionalism and dedication. He presented company awards for distinguished service in recognition of their conscientious work and significant contribution to the development of Ukraine's nuclear power industry.

As part of the visit, Energoatom delivered another batch of aid to the Defence Forces of Ukraine. The military received a quad bike with a trailer, Starlink satellite communication systems, and specialized equipment needed to carry out combat missions.
