The keys to the articulated boom based on the VOLVO car were received by rescuers of the 8th State Fire and Rescue Unit of the town of Netishyn. The car was transferred to the State Emergency Service as humanitarian aid from the Danish government.
The powerful equipment is designed to rescue people from high-rise floors (up to 45 meters) at the facilities of the Khmelnytskyi NPP and its satellite town, where eight high-rise buildings are counted.
JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom” is also involved in improving the material and technical support of the State Emergency Service. In particular, for the 3rd State Fire & Rescue Unit for the protection of the Khmelnytskyi NPP, two fire-fighting tankers based on Daewoo Maximus and MAN cars with modern equipment and powerful pumps have been purchased in recent years. Class 6 bulletproof vests and class 1 bulletproof helmets, three AlphaTec capsule-type suits for protection against chemical damage have been purchased for the personnel of the fire and rescue unit. The Khmelnytskyi NPP also received a station and 10 digital mobile radio stations to ensure communication during emergencies.
The new equipment and technology ensures reliable protection of the Netishyn community and the Khmelnytskyi NPP in martial law conditions.
