Energoatom Supervisory Board concludes working visit to Ukraine at Rivne NPP

For four days, from August 25 to 28, the Supervisory Board of JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom” worked in Ukraine. During this period, the Board held a meeting and a series of discussions with the Prime Minister and members of the Ukrainian government, Members of Parliament, G7 ambassadors, and other stakeholders.

The main focus was on the further implementation of the corporate reform within the Company. In addition, the Supervisory Board highly praised Energoatom's preparations for the winter. According to Supervisory Board Chair Rumina Velshi, Energoatom is of strategic importance not only today but also for the future,

We saw that Energoatom has solid plans in place for winter preparedness, with some scheduled maintenance outages already completed. Once the repair activities are finished, the Company will be well prepared for the autumn and winter period. The Company has procured critical spare parts that will be available if needed. Energoatom personnel have undergone additional emergency preparedness training.

The final area on the Supervisory Board's agenda was the Rivne NPP. The independent Board members toured the plant turbine halls and unit control rooms as well as familiarized themselves with the operation of its main equipment. Particular attention was paid to strengthening the protection of the nuclear facility, and the Board members reviewed the progress of construction of protective structures.

A production meeting with the plant management was also held at the Rivne NPP to discuss its current operations. While at the plant, the Supervisory Board members learned more about the work of its nuclear employees and spoke with Rivne NPP personnel.
