The Supervisory Board of JSC “NNEGC Energoatom” has decided to terminate Pavlo Kovtoniuk's tenure as an acting Chairman and member of the Management Board. 

At the same time, the Supervisory Board has appointed Oleksandr Ostapovets as Acting Chairman of the Management Board to lead Energoatom until the Company’s new permanent leadership team assumes its responsibilities. 

The decision concerning Pavlo Kovtoniuk followed the Supervisory Board’s review of the implementation of its decisions and instructions. Based on this review, the Supervisory Board concluded that it no longer had confidence in Mr. Kovtoniuk’s ability to ensure the proper implementation of its decisions and to continue leading the Company through the transition to its new permanent leadership. 

The Supervisory Board considers the effective implementation of its decisions, clear management accountability, and adherence to the principles of sound corporate governance to be fundamental requirements for Energoatom’s executive leadership.

The Supervisory Board’s priority is to ensure stability, continuity of operations, and effective management of Energoatom during a critically important period for both the Company and Ukraine’s energy system.

Oleksandr Ostapovets will lead the Company during the transition period as Energoatom prepares for the heating season while continuing to operate under challenging wartime conditions. His mandate is to ensure stable management of the Company, safe and reliable operations, proper implementation of the Supervisory Board’s decisions, and an orderly transition to the new permanent leadership team. 

Following independent competitive selection processes, the Supervisory Board selected Yurii Tkachuk as the successful candidate for Chairman of the Management Board (Chief Executive Officer) and Pavlo Pavlyshyn as the successful candidate for Management Board Member responsible for Nuclear Safety and Operations (Chief Nuclear Officer).

Both candidates are currently completing the statutory, regulatory, and corporate procedures required for their formal appointment and assumption of their respective responsibilities.

Until the transition to the new permanent leadership team is completed, the Supervisory Board will maintain enhanced oversight of the Company’s management, operational continuity and the implementation of its decisions.
