IAEA mission rotation held at the Khmelnytskyi NPP

The 40th rotation of experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) took place at the Khmelnytskyi NPP site.

During a meeting with representatives of the Khmelnytskyi NPP and State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine, KhNPP Deputy Chief Engineer for Nuclear and Radiation Vitalii Lytus briefed international experts on the security situation in the region of power plant location. Special attention was paid to the consequences of enemy attacks on civilian infrastructure and the population of Ukraine.

IAEA mission specialists constantly monitor the state of nuclear and radiation safety at the Khmelnytskyi NPP site, monitor compliance with international standards, and provide objective information to the world community about the situation at Ukrainian nuclear facilities.

The presence of the mission contributes to maintaining the stable operation of the KhNPP under martial law.
