Due to the constant shelling of the territory of Ukraine by russian troops, the threat of fires due to the fall of fragments of enemy missiles is constantly increasing. In this respect, maximum attention is paid to strengthening the fire readiness of Energoatom subdivisions.
“The entire world witnessed how the russian occupiers recently started a fire at the largest nuclear power plant in Europe, the Zaporizhzhia NPP. The largest structure of the plant, cooling tower No.1, was completely burnt out. Therefore, the professional training of our specialists for prompt response to any emergency is one of the Company’s priorities,” Petro Kotin, Head of Energoatom, said.
One of Energoatom’s branches conducted a complex fire-fighting drill in cooperation with the State Fire and Rescue Unit of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in the Kyiv region.
Issues worked out:
- the correctness and coherence of the actions of the involved subdivisions;
- application of practical fire extinguishing skills with primary means;
- interaction of branch employees with the personnel of the State Fire and Rescue Department.
