On August 15, a meeting of the Financial and Economic Performance Assessment Committee headed by CEO of JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom” Petro Kotin was held.

The members of the Committee heard performance reports made by heads of all separate subdivisions of NNEGC for the first six months of 2025 and assessed their work as satisfactory.

Despite the military risks, logistical difficulties and challenges associated with russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Energoatom continues to perform its work in a quality manner.

In the first six months of 2025, Ukrainian nuclear power plants generated more than 26.8 billion kW⋅h of electricity. The capacity utilization factor of the plants exceeded 78%, and in the autumn-winter period of 2024-2025 it approached 100%. The share of NNEGC in the country’s total energy balance is over 50%.

The Company continues to fulfill its public service obligations in full to ensure the availability of electricity for household consumers (PSO). For the reporting period, Energoatom paid almost UAH 84 billion, which allowed it to reduce the financial burden on Ukrainian families and electricity costs.

“Energoatom is steadily fulfilling all the tasks, supporting the state in this difficult time. Our indicators are growing, and I am grateful to my colleagues for their expertise and professionalism. On the eve of the cold weather, the main priority is to complete all maintenance activities at the nuclear power plants so that nine power units provide Ukrainian families with light and heat in winter. We have already entered the final straight and have time to complete the repair campaign before the beginning of the autumn and winter period without loss of quality. We keep on moving forward!” said Energoatom Head Petro Kotin.
