main

Representatives of JSC “NNEC “Energoatom” have joined an initiative designed to eliminate discrepancies in educational programs and courses that the students of senior years of “nuclear” fields receive, in accordance with the needs of the nuclear industry.

In the NURECAB project, Energoatom specialists will make proposals based on their own experience and modern requirements for the profession. Special attention will be paid to the development of courses related to basic nuclear technologies and processes used for the safe operation of NPPs.

In particular, the employees of nuclear power plants are being surveyed to study the compliance of educational courses with the industry needs. Based on the collected data, recommendations will be developed on improving the “nuclear” education program.

Moreover, NNEGC specialists will help integrate their own corporate e-learning system “ASKO” in Ukrainian higher education institutions that train specialists for the nuclear industry.

As a reminder, it is expected that because of the completion of Units 3 and 4 of the Khmelnytskyi NPP, as well as the construction and commissioning of new Units 5 and 6, up to 9 thousand high-paying jobs will be created in Ukraine. Therefore, increasing workforce capacity and attracting young specialists is one of the important aspects of Energoatom’s activities.

For reference: the project “EU-UA Nuclear Research and Education Capacity Building” (NURECAB) will be implemented within the framework of the EURATOM work program for 2023-2025.

NURECAB is a project focused on training, capacity building and the development of nuclear researches in Ukraine and the European Union. The main goal of NURECAB is to support the further integration of the Ukrainian nuclear research community into the European research network and Euratom research.
