On June 18–19, Directorate of JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom”, in cooperation with the Khmelnytskyi NPP and the Company branches, conducted a plant-wide emergency drill. The purpose of arranging such events on a regular basis is to practice the actions necessary to eliminate the consequences of potential NPP emergencies during an abnormal situation.
Representatives of the Ministry of Energy, the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate, the Ministry of Health, and the State Emergency Service observed the drill development in the Energoatom Emergency Response Center.
During the drill, a potential situation that could occur as a result of military actions by the aggressor, the russian federation, was worked out; shortcomings emerged during the drill were identified and analyzed.
In total, the readiness of the Company subdivisions for countering possible military actions by the aggressor, localization and liquidation of their consequences was practiced and confirmed.
