On October 15, at the Head Office of JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom”, a working meeting was held between Acting CEO of the Company Pavlo Kovtonyuk, and Regional Advisor for Nuclear Energy of the Embassy of France in Ukraine Thierry Salmon.
The parties discussed cooperation in nuclear energy, current and prospective projects, as well as the participation of EDF, Arabelle Solutions, Framatome and other companies in modernization and construction projects of new power units in Ukraine.
Pavlo Kovtonyuk emphasized the strategic status of cooperation with French partners: “This opens up new opportunities for the development of nuclear sector in Ukraine and strengthens our integration into the European energy space.”
In his turn, Thierry Salmon emphasized the readiness of France to contribute to the modernization of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure and share experience in ensuring the NPP safety.
The next step will be to actively attract funding and prepare for participation in the World Nuclear Expo 2025 in Paris in early November.
