On December 18, JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom” signed a partnership and cooperation agreement in the field of education with Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Energoatom Acting CEO Pavlo Kovtonyuk and university rector Volodymyr Bugrov signed the document.
The partnership aims to train highly qualified specialists in the energy field who meet the modern challenges of the nuclear sector.
The cooperation will involve interaction between the company's specialists and the university community, in particular on issues related to the training of higher education seekers studying at the first (bachelor's) and second (master's) levels of higher education in the specialties of physics, astronomy, and nuclear power engineering. Another significant area is the involvement of students in practical training, internships, and joint research projects.
Energoatom's head, Pavlo Kovtonyuk, and Volodymyr Bugrov, rector of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, discussed key areas of cooperation to attract professionals to the nuclear industry.
“It is crucial for Energoatom to strengthen cooperation with such a powerful educational institution as Taras Shevchenko University. It is university science and the training of specialists in energy specialties that form the personnel foundation for a safe, innovative, and sustainable nuclear sector. Our company is interested in ensuring that students understand the real challenges of the nuclear industry and see their professional future in Ukraine, at our nuclear power plants, while they are still studying,” said Pavlo Kovtonyuk.
Cooperation with Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv will promote innovation, the development of scientific schools, and the training of a new generation of specialists who will work for Ukraine's energy security and future.
