On March 20, 2025, the Fifth Annual Student Forum “ESG FUTURE: Your Career in the Green Reconstruction of Ukraine” was held at the Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. President of the Association of Environmental Professionals Liudmyla Tsyhanok announced the start of the implementation of the Virtual Academy project “EcoEducation”.
The project focuses on overcoming the crisis of environmental education in Ukraine.
The Company readiness to support this initiative was confirmed by Danylo Lavrenov, Director of Department of Information and Analytical Support and Executive Secretary of the Ukrainian Nuclear Society, who presented JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom” at the forum as a company with high ESG indicators (environment, social responsibility, corporate governance) and remains one of the flagships in this area among state-owned enterprises in Ukraine.
Energoatom Head Petro Kotin stressed the need to train personnel for the industry. He added that supporting the EcoEducation project would be an investment in a new generation of environmentally conscious specialists and is part of the Company mission as a responsible national operator.
“Today, nuclear power industry is a reasonable balance between energy capacity, environmental safety and social contribution. We not only produce clean energy without carbon emissions, but also ensure that our production is sustainable, transparent and future-oriented,” Head of NNEGC said.
For reference: This project is focused on students, teachers, corporate ecologists and lawyers working in the field of environmental protection. The Academy aims to provide modern knowledge and practical tools in the areas of energy efficiency, decarbonization and sustainable development.
NNEGC “Energoatom” will continue to support projects that contribute to the formation of an environmental culture, professional growth of young people and the development of safe nuclear energy in Ukraine.
