Energoatom hands over another batch of aid to Omega Special Forces

JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom” continues its systematic support for the Defense Forces of Ukraine. On May 5, representatives of the Omega Special Forces Center of the National Guard of Ukraine received an all-terrain vehicle, ammunition, and special equipment worth nearly UAH 5 million.

Pavlo Kovtonyuk, Head of NNEGC; Bohdan Shmyhelskyi, Executive Director for Personnel; Olena Donchuk Head of the NGO “Guardians of Light”; and Serhii Snitkov, Head of Energoatom’s Primary Trade Union Organization, delivered the aid.

Pavlo Kovtonyuk emphasized that Energoatom’s support for Ukraine’s defenders has been steadfast since the first days of the full-scale invasion, noting that the military’s resilience is what allows the company to operate and provide Ukraine with electricity.

“Supporting our military is of paramount importance today. The stability of our energy worker’s operations directly depends on the effectiveness of the Defense Forces activities. Therefore, we tailor our assistance to the specific needs of each unit, ensuring that every piece of transferred equipment or accoutrements delivers real results on the front line,” he stated.

Major General Pavlo Yatsiuk, Head of the Omega Special Purpose Center, expressed gratitude to the nuclear employees for their constant unwavering assistance.

“It is critically important for us to receive gear that is truly effective on the battlefield. Energoatom is among those who understand this and acts without any delay. Such support directly affects the effectiveness of our units,” he noted.

Volunteer energy workers from the the NGO “Guardians of Light” have been cooperating with Omega Special Forces since 2024. During this period, the unit has received nearly UAH 26 million in assistance, including diving equipment and accoutrements, night vision devices, vehicles, quadcopters, and electronic warfare systems. Additionally, volunteers implement initiatives focused on treatment and rehabilitation of defenders.

In total, since the beginning of the armed aggression of the russian federation, Energoatom has allocated over UAH 21 billion to support the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
