“Nothing will stop an idea whose time has come…” – words attributed to Stepan Bandera, inspire Ukrainians to fight for their existence for decades. It is obvious that in 1991, that time came, but the Ukrainian nation must defend its idea even today.
The events of 2014-2022 became a difficult test for Ukrainians in the struggle for statehood. The defense of borders and sovereignty cost Ukraine many of its best sons and daughters. However, it is this struggle, which forms a strong nation.
Finally, no one in the world will get Ukraine and russia mixed up and call Ukrainians russians. Because today Ukrainians are a great people of a great country. It is a powerful nation, respected appraised and followed in the world. This time has come!

In particular, the words about the idea whose time has come inspired our today’s Guardian of Light Denys Krasovskyi to establish the Non-Governmental Organization “Energy of Our Hearts”.
“The idea of establishing a public organization had been in my head for a long time,” shares the Guardian of Light. “But I could not understand whether it would be supported at all. Once at one of the meetings, our Director General called on employees to share their thoughts on how to strengthen the assistance that the plant and nuclear employees were providing to the military. I gathered like-minded people and we went to Director. Together, we corrected the stated idea and made a decision to launch a NGO. The thesis “nothing will stop an idea whose time has come” is very suitable here. Everything happened at the right time”.

Before the full-scale invasion, Denys Krasovskyi lived an ordinary life: he worked at the Khmelnytskyi NPP as a 2nd category NDT engineer in In-Service Inspection Department, having his family and hobbies.
“To be honest, I don’t remember what life I lived before the war,” the nuclear employee confesses. “Because over the past three years I’ve gotten used to living in this rhythm and I don’t even remember what specific goals and desires I had at that time. Back then, I just tried to take everything from life. Together with my family, I was going to my parents’; with my eldest son, I was spending time fishing, with my friends – resting. We had an active, entertaining life; but after that, russia came to Ukraine and everything changed radically. Now I devote almost all my free time to the public organization.”
Today, “Energy of Our Hearts” has 9 board members and 27 participants. The organization’s main activity is to assist the Ukrainian Defense Forces and provide defenders with everything they need. Most often, volunteers receive requests for Mavic quadcopters, FPV drones, night vision devices and generators, but the assistance is not limited with these items.
“We try to provide the military with the things they need,” explains Denys Krasovskyi. “We work according to the following principle: first of all, we provide assistance to plant employees and their family members, after those – to the residents of Netishyn, who are adjacent to the plant, and subsequently – to the Shepetivska district and the surrounding areas. If, after providing these areas with assistance, there are free funds, we can help another unit, for example, “Azov” or the 3rd assault unit.”

Despite years of activities and numerous assistance to the defenders of Ukraine, Denys Krasovskyi speaks with moderation about the results of his work and emphasizes that he would like to help much more.
“It is quite difficult to talk about the results, because the war is ongoing,” head of the NGO explains. “It is difficult to draw a line to understand what contribution we have made to this struggle. However, we try to cover demands of the military as much as possible. Not in such volumes as we would like, taking into account the cost of this war, but we are making our contribution to the approach of Victory. We will talk about the results after the end of the russian-Ukrainian war – then we will summarize all the activities.”

The volunteer admits that the greatest joy in his work is the happy eyes of the military who receive aid, and the saved lives of the defenders. We are also heartened when relatives come to us together with the military, and they did not let their Heroes move a step from them.
“It is so nice to see these family ties,” the nuclear employee shares. “When relatives come for help together with the military and you see how they are happy to meet. How a mother hugs her son, a woman hugs her husband. At such moments, you understand that owing to this assistance, the defender managed to come home, at least for a moment.
Also inspiring is communication with the military and their words of gratitude for the fact that we do not stand aside, that we are not indifferent, and that we help. Sometimes even one radio set or Starlink can save a life. Such moments give strength to move forward.”
Nevertheless, there is also something in the volunteer’s activity that is upsetting – these are “armchair expert”, who write discrediting texts about the significance of volunteer activity and hint at the misuse of funds. However, there is a thing that hurts the Guardian most of all is – when the military’s phone stops answering.
“It hurts a lot when you communicate with the military, provide assistance, but then his number stops answering,” head of the NGO confesses. – And later he is generally out of reach. After that, a notification comes that the defender is missing in action or dead. Such news is very upsetting.”

However, despite the difficult moments of the volunteer activity, painful losses at the front and periodic feeling of hopelessness in this cruel war, Denys Krasovskyi calls not to stop providing aid to the army.
“Those who are in the rear must understand that help is very necessary and it must bring benefits,” explains the volunteer. “If we do not help those people who are on the front line, then quite quickly we can find ourselves on the front line.”
In addition, our Guardian addresses cautiously to those who are fighting, He says that it is difficult for a person sitting in the rear to say something to those people who face danger and face to face with death every day. It is difficult to choose appropriate words for Ukrainian Heroes. Therefore, he simply asks them to stay safe and assures that the Non-Governmental Organization “Energy of Our Hearts” will continue to do everything to meet the needs of the military.
Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the Heroes!
