Energoatom has helped five-year-old Daryna from Konotop. She is undergoing treatment at Okhmatdyt following a serious illness and requires continuous oxygen support.
Representatives of the Charitable Foundation “Rehabilitation Gardens” informed the Company about the girl’s situation. Daryna needed a DeVilbiss iGo2 portable oxygen concentrator and an additional accumulator battery. It was too difficult for the family to purchase the necessary equipment on their own.
The oxygen concentrator helps the girl breathe, while the additional battery keeps it running where there is no access to electricity. This is especially important for the family from the Sumy region: during air raid alerts and russian attacks, they need to be ready to quickly move to a shelter, evacuate, or travel for treatment. In such situations, the uninterrupted operation of the equipment is a matter of the child’s safety and life.
“When a child needs help, it is impossible to stand aside. Energoatom supports the military, healthcare workers, and civilians, and always strives to respond to people’s specific needs. When we learned about Daryna, we decided to help as well,” said Energoatom CEO Pavlo Kovtoniuk.
The necessary equipment has already been handed over to the family. Daryna’s parents and volunteers expressed gratitude to the nuclear workers for their support.
