Petro Kotin: occupiers are unable to ensure security at the Zaporizhzhia NPP
In his interview with the Austrian news magazine Profil, CEO of JSC "NNEGC "Energoatom" Petro Kotin described the situation at the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP.
According to him, the occupiers are unable to ensure security at Zaporizhzhia NPP, even when it is not in operation.
"An accident can happen at any moment, and then we will get into trouble. I have a message for the russians: get out of the NPP. It will not do you any good. Go away, and we will take care of safety," CEO of Energoatom urged.
He added that the russians wanted to launch ZNPP and connect it to the russian power grid, but this was impossible.
"The russians put pressure on the employees of the nuclear power plant to sign contracts with rosatom, but not many specialists went for it. In February of this year, the fake management of the plant dismissed the last remaining 400 qualified Ukrainian nuclear workers. Among them were professionals responsible for the safety of the nuclear power plant. Instead, the russian workers do not have the necessary qualifications, do not know the plant, and have not received the appropriate training," emphasized Petro Kotin.
