For 1000 days, a full-fledged war unleashed by russia has been going on in Ukraine. For 1000 days, the enemy has been killing Ukrainians, destroying Ukrainian cities and Ukrainian identity, and destroying businesses and the energy sector. Since February 24, 2022, the life of every Ukrainian has changed forever.

One of the most horrific moments of the war was the seizure of Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant by the ruscists. Europe's largest plant was occupied on the ninth day of the full-scale invasion. For the first time in the history of nuclear energy and the history of mankind, a nuclear power plant was shelled with heavy weapons. For the first time, ZNPP personnel performed complex technical switches under direct fire.

Just owing to the professional actions of Ukrainian nuclear power engineers, who were at the plant until February 1, 2024, and performed their work under the sights of machine guns, not only Ukraine but also the entire continent managed to avoid a catastrophe.

However, the nuclear and radiation safety of ZNPP remains under threat.

The enemy did not stop at ZNPP and went on to seize the South Ukraine NPP, but Ukrainian heroes on the border of the Southern Buh, just 25 km from the power plant, repelled the ruscists and drove them beyond the region's borders.

Today, our nuclear workers are holding not only the energy but also the military frontline with dignity. Over 800 Energoatom employees joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Company's staff actively supports our military in the rear.

1000 days of war is not only about the horrors of war. These are 1000 days of the Ukrainian people's resilience, unity, and bravery. The proficiency and courage of Energoatom's team are a worthy contribution to the confrontation with the enemy. Our nuclear power professionals remain at the forefront of the energy frontline, ensuring the country's stability and future.

Every day brings Ukraine closer to Victory. Therefore, we must remember that support for the military and those affected by war is of utmost importance.
