With the support of Energoatom, a sports ground was opened in Yuzhnoukrainsk
As part of his visit to the South Ukraine NPP, Head of Energoatom Petro Kotin took part in the
opening ceremony of the complex sports ground of the Complex of Cultural and Sports Facilities
“Olympus”. Director General of the South Ukraine NPP Ihor Polovych and Mayor of
Yuzhnoukrainsk Valerii Onufrienko also joined the event.
The restoration of the sports ground became possible thanks to the support of Energoatom. Starting
today, residents of Yuzhnoukrainsk will be able to play volleyball, mini-football, streetball and
tennis here. The first football match was played on the renovated playground by children's sports
school pupils.
“Now all our efforts are directed at supporting the energy front and helping our defenders achieve
the desired victory. At the same time, social infrastructure is also very important for Energoatom.
Today's event, the opening of the sports ground, is proof of this,” Petro Kotin said.
Energoatom will continue to support the construction of sports facilities in all other satellite towns
of Ukrainian NPPs for the development of sports and physical education of young people.
