Petro Kotin: We would like to encourage the establishment of the Supervisory Board of Energoatom as soon as possible and attracting the world-class specialists to it.
According to Petro Kotin, Acting Board Chairman of JSC «NNEGC «Energoatom», for further accelerated development of the Ukrainian nuclear energy industry, it is important to form the Supervisory Board of Energoatom as soon as possible.
«This will allow us to complete the transition to international standards of corporate management and enhance the work with the foreign partners of Energoatom, in particular with regard to attracting foreign capital to the development of the Company and financing the construction of new power units,» Petro Kotin mentioned.
At the beginning of February, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the requirements for independent candidates for the positions of members of the Supervisory Board of Energoatom and announced their selection.
According to Petro Kotin, such a decision of the Government will allow to quickly find and attract the best world-class specialists with outstanding experience in the nuclear power industry as well as nuclear and radiation safety to the management structures of Energoatom.
«I am confident that the Supervisory Board formed on these principles, its decisions and recommendations will give an impetus for the development and growth of the joint stock company, as well as acceleration of the construction of new nuclear facilities in Ukraine,» the head of NNEGC said.
