The russian terrorists have changed their tactics and are now trying to blackmail Ukraine and the whole world with rocket attacks on remote substations feeding the nuclear power plants.

Thus, today, October 17, the russian terrorists once again shelled substations of critical infrastructure in the territory controlled by Ukraine, as a result of which at 03:59 am the last 750 kV ZNPP – Dniprovska transmission line was disconnected. During the transient, due to a short-term voltage drop, the ZNPP stand-by auxiliary transformer was turned off followed by the start-up of diesel generators.

Furthermore, the 750 kV South Ukraine NPP – Dniprovska transmission line was down, but without affecting the SUNPP load.

We once again appeal to the international community to urgently take measures for the demilitarization of the ZNPP as soon as possible, the withdrawal of all russian military from the plant site and the city of Enerhodar, as well as the return of the Zaporizhzhya NPP to the full control of Ukraine for the sake of the security of the whole world.
