Energoatom delegation in Canada: agreements on the development of the uranium industry in Ukraine and the prospect of constructing a domestic facility
President of SE "NNEGC "Energoatom" Petro Kotin together with the team as part of an official delegation visited Canada and CAMECO facility.
The outcome of the meetings was the signing of two important agreements: on the physical delivery of uranium concentrate from Ukraine to Canada, as well as a memorandum on the development of the uranium mining industry in Ukraine with the assistance of Canadian partners.
The Ukrainian delegation met with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and representatives of Canadian business and social circles.
Furthermore, Petro Kotin visited CAMECO facility, where uranium concentrate is converted into uranium hexafluoride (UF6).
Partnership with this Canadian company opens the prospect of constructing a facility for the conversion of uranium concentrate in Ukraine.
