Repair campaign is underway at Ukrainian NPPs so that all power units can supply electricity to the grid by winter – Petro Kotin
President of SE "NNEGC "Energoatom" Petro Kotin said that the Company was currently endeavoring to ensure the operation of all nine power units located on the Ukraine-controlled territory during the heating season.
"Next week, one more VVER-1000 power unit will be connected to the grid after maintenance. We will have to repair two units, and according to the schedule, approximately in November, all nine power units will generate electricity," he said on the air of Yedyni Novyny (United News) national telethon.
Responding to the presenter's question about the situation at the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhya NPP, Petro Kotin noted that the power plant continues to be a military base of the russian invaders. Official reports from IAEA representatives also confirmed the mining of the nuclear facility. Therefore, the main task now is to liberate the ZNPP from the russian invaders.
